“Vorzeichen deiner Schwäche” - Karl Kave & Julia Toggenburger

Right out of the gate, I’m reminded of Berlin’s “Metro.” Karl Kave and Julia Toggenburger’s “Vorzeichen deiner Schwäche,” from their Blauer Planet LP, along with first single, “Schrott im All,” are the two most accessible songs on the album; but the other 11 tracks are equally great with a mix of experimental synthpop and early ‘80s post-punk new wave. All the analog synths and drum machines are fantastic, and Toggenburger’s voice is mesmerizing.
