“Heavy Weights” - Petite League

Is it just me or does “Heavy Weights” sound a bit like some classic Tegan and Sara sent through a indie synthpop filter? I love the simple drum machine pattern, simple analog synth bass… then it starts expanding. Some distorted guitar synth here, electric bass there, soft pads, blips and bops. It’s wonderfully arranged and produced, and the end result is a fun, uplifting little springtime ditty.
