“Worn Down” - Men I Trust

One of the fun things about creating my “TBNMSM” playlist and keeping the archives is being able to go back and see all the previous tracks by an artist that I’ve also added to the playlist over the years. For Men I Trust, I’m up to six going back to 2019’s “Air.” I’ve got two tracks off of Men I Trust’s latest LP, Equus Caballus, earmarked as The Best New Music Says Me: opening track, “To Ease You,” and the one highlighted here on the blog, track #12, “Worn Down.” “Worn Down” is very much my vibe as I could almost hear it as a Devo song. It’s got that faster tempo and vaguely punk vibe— even though lead vocalist Emma Proulx’s voice is soft as can be. A definite standout amongst their growing and impressive discography.
